NQM volunteers support the museum by: following the NQM mission to honor today’s quilters; greeting and meeting visitors; and providing an outstanding gallery experience for all visitors.
The National Quilt Museum is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that relies heavily on volunteers in order to achieve its goals. The museum welcomes over 35,000 annual visitors from all 50 states and dozens of foreign countries to Paducah on an annual basis.
Volunteers fill important roles in several museum departments including interacting with museum visitors as docents in the gallery, helping the Education Department with youth programming, and other museum events. No experience necessary.
