National Quilt Museum

Quilt Camps

Quilt Camp is for youth ages 7-17 interested in learning to quilt! Each session is 2.5 hours each day for four days (Monday -Thursday).

Campers will learn a variety of quilting skills and techniques in each session. Beginner campers focus on basics like machine piecing, ironing, and finishing the quilt. All Beginner sessions make the same project.

Intermediate & Advanced campers will expand these skills to include rotary cutting, machine quilting, and binding.

Each day campers will explore the exhibits in the museum galleries. All materials & instruction are provided.

Fall Break Quilt Camp 2026

We had such a good time this summer with Quilt Camp, that we’re introducing Quilt Camp sessions during Fall Break, October 5 – 8, 2026!

There will be 2 sessions, both Beginner level for ages 7-17:

Beginner A – October 5 – 8, 2026      9:30am – 12:00pm

Beginner B – October 5 – 8, 2026       2:00pm- 4:30pm

We’ll be making the same Beginner project as we did in June, and giving more young quilters the opportunity to learn how to stitch their own quilt.

Many Thanks to our Quilt Camp Sponsors!
