IN-KIND DONATION GUIDELINES

Thank you for your interest in donating items to The National Quilt Museum.  All donated items are either used in our education department or sold to generate funding for our exhibitions and programs. For more information email: Rachael Baar.

We currently accept the following items only:

USED ITEMS

  • Useable, clean, fabric in good condition in fat quarter size or larger – no scraps
  • Quilts in good to excellent condition – clean, no odors or stains
  • Quilt tops that are ready to be made into a quilt
  • Quilt blocks: new, modern, vintage, or antique that are useable to make a quilt

NEW ITEMS

  • Fabric rolls and precut packs
  • Thread
  • Scissors
  • Rotary cutters
  • Rulers
  • Pins

We do not accept the following items:

  • Sewing machines
  • Quilt frames
  • Books or magazines
  • Patterns
  • Yarn
  • Embroidery floss
  • Scraps of fabric
  • Damaged, dirty, or fragile quilts and/or quilt tops

The National Quilt Museum is a 501c3 non-profit organization the depends upon the support of individuals and organizations passionate about quilting and the arts.
