We have an exciting event coming up this Saturday, the Rita's Quilt Event! What started as a small unfinished project found at a garage sale has now turned into a national phenomenon. When Shannon Blank found an elderly woman's unfinished project at a garage sale, she decided to take it on and finish it. She called out to her followers on Instagram in hopes of simply getting some help to complete it. But after over 1,000 volunteers offered to help, the project got a lot of attention from the media including BCC, NPR, and many more news outlets.
This quilt will be unveiled here on Saturday, March 7th, at 1pm. It will be on display until May 17th.
