Laura Hendrickson

Museum Registrar and Collections Manager



Laura Hendrickson is the Registrar and Collections Manager for The National Quilt Museum. She has a degree in Anthropology and Museum Studies from Southern Illinois University. She is an active member of the American Alliance of Museums, the Southeast Registrar’s Association, and the Association of Registrars and Collections Specialists. She oversees the logistics involved with an average of 15-20 exhibits and loans both to and from The National Quilt Museum each year, and is responsible for the ongoing daily care of the museum’s collection of quilts.

One of the museum's four mission pillars is preservation.  We believe every quilt is important and deserves to be preserved so it will be enjoyed by future generations.  Laura offers her extensive experience in quilt handling, shipping, exhibition, and storage to all organizations.
