Exhibition Proposal Request

The National Quilt Museum is a non-profit, nationally recognized art museum that exhibits the finest fiber art in the world. In an average year, the museum is visited by over 110,000 quilters and art lovers from all 50 states and over 40 countries worldwide.  Our mission is to advance the art of today's quilters by bringing it to new and expanding audiences worldwide and we serve the quilting community by providing gallery and traveling exhibitions that demonstrate excellence, diversity, and artistry in the fiber arts.

The museum’s four galleries feature exhibitions of the finest quilt and
fiber art in the world, which are rotated eight to ten times per year. The main gallery showcases the vibrant and breathtaking quilts from the Museum's collection which includes over 600 works of art.  Two other galleries feature unique and varied traveling exhibits and the fourth exhibition space is titled The Corner Gallery and it is the museum’s new opportunity to create smaller “pop-up” shows.

Our curatorial team meets frequently to consider exhibition proposals related to our mission statement. We welcome submissions and proposals from emerging and professional artists; and quilting guilds and fiber arts organizations. Please make sure your proposal follows the guidelines as stated below.  You will be contacted as soon as a review has been completed.
