3-day class with Melinda Bula. You have a choice using 3 of her amazing patterns. There is the Double Delight Rose, Hibiscus or the Dogwood. Learn how to use a range of values in your fabrics to create depth and realm in your flower art quilt. These flowers have to look of a painting without using any paint. It’s all fabric.

These flowers can be made in your favorite colors OR you can request a fabric pack from Melinda at least a month prior to class.

All patterns come with a color chart to help you select your fabric colors. There is lots of room for creativity. Melinda’s Renegade Thread Play will be talked in a power point to get you ready for thread play when you get home. NO sewing machine is needed.

All patterns for this class have a Color Chart with fabric amounts to help your choice your fabrics for class. You can download this information from my web site under Workshops www.melindabula.com or I can mail you the Color Chart for the flower you chose.

Basic Supply list for the class

  • 1 yd background fabric in a dark color or a color you like
  • 6-8 yds Steam-A-Seam 2, 12” or 18” wide – I will bring rolls for class, if you have trouble finding it
  • Tweezers or stiletto to help you move small pieces around
  • A lot of large straight pins and Wonder Clips
  • Glue Stick
  • Large sharp scissors for paper and fabric
  • Plastic baggie to store your pattern pieces
  • White parchment paper
