Round 4 BOTM
Round 4 will continue to see blocks released on the 1st of each month, and run January – December 2022. Blocks will continue to be 12 ½” square, and created by guest designers. Inspirations will come from museum exhibitions, collection artists, themes, and styles. As each block is a mystery until its release, the final quilt will be a sampler style, and participants are free to arrange the blocks layout as desired.

Frequently Asked Questions:
How can I join?
Click this link to the group on Facebook and click 'join'.
What if I don't have Facebook?
Each month, the pattern will be uploaded to the museum's website at https://quiltmuseum.org/blockofthemonth/
How much does it cost?
The Block of the Month club is free!
How does the group work?
Block patterns are released on the 1st of each month. Sharing your progress each month is a welcome source of inspiration to other members. Participants can discuss quilting, share photos, ask for sewing tips and more as long as the discussion is respectful and on-topic.
How much fabric do I need?
Since each block is designed by a different artist, fabric requirements will vary. You have the option to use as many or as few fabrics as you prefer, so the quilt can be scrappy, focused in a limited color palette, or use a color scheme that evolves from month to month. It’s your quilt so use whatever makes you happy!
When do I start?
You can join at any time! New patterns are released on the first of each month at noon CST. You can start with the current Round, or go back and make previous patterns at any time.
Who designs the patterns?
Blocks are designed by guest quilt artists including: Victoria Findlay Wolfe, Cassandra Beaver, Nicholas Ball, Audrey Esarey, Jo Avery, Silvia Sutters, Valerie White, and more!
How much experience do I need quilting?
The club welcomes quilters of all levels. Beginner quilters can reach out to other members with questions. Different blocks will likely introduce new techniques and expand the horizons of modern quilters.
What happens at the end?
Participants who complete a quilt at the end of 12 months are eligible to receive a FREE limited-edition quilt label courtesy of The National Quilt Museum!
Can I tell others?
Absolutely! Invite your friends to join the Facebook group, or share the patterns with friends who aren't online as they are released.
