Support the National Quilt Museum with material donations of quilts and supplies both old and new. Your donation benefits a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to honoring the modern quilter and preserving amazing art pieces.
Quilts for Quilting is an ongoing program of live, silent, and online auctions. This is one of the Museum's largest and most important fundraisers. Last year over 650 quilt enthusiasts participated. Auctions are held annually during the Spring and Fall AQS QuiltWeeks, and may occur other times as well. Donations are accepted year-round.
Free up space in your home by donating quilts or quilting materials that you no longer need! We hope you have extra quilts and supplies you will give the museum for this program. Most items are quilts and other related materials that are no longer being used by their owners.
Auctions raise critical funds, and 100% of the money raised is used to expand museum programming. Ultimately, someone wants your items and the winning bidder will give them new life. All donations are also tax-deductible as allowed by law.
How it Works
The program is simple and everyone can participate! Simply donate a quilt to The National Quilt Museum for our fundraising purposes. The quilt can be a new creation or an antique of any size. There is also a demand at our auctions for fabric, notions, patterns, books, and quilt kits.
Over the last six years, the Quilts for Quilting Campaign helped raise critical funding for the museum. The dollars raised helped us expand several programs and promotional efforts. These proceeds directly lead to thousands more people experiencing the art of quilting through educational programs, in-facility exhibits, traveling exhibits, and other programs. Each person who donates will receive a small gift as a token of the Museum's gratitude for your help.
How to donate your quilt to the “Quilts for Quilting” campaign:
- Send quilts to: National Quilt Museum, 215 Jefferson Street, Paducah, KY 42001
- Please write “Attn: Q for Q” on the box.
- Please include your name, address, and contact information so that we may send you a receipt and a gift.
There is no limit to the number of quilts and other items you can donate to the campaign.
Thank you so much for your donation.
The Museum relies heavily on the generosity of the quilting community for funding and we need everyone passionate about quilting involved.
